How to Generate Electronic Verification Code (EVC) to E-Verify Income Tax Return through Bank Account

Income Tax Return verification is a must to submit your Income Tax Return. This is a huge headache for many people. Today I’am going to share one of the simplest method to EVerifying Income Tax Return. We are going to generate “Electronic Verification Code” abbreviated as “EVC”. This Electronic Verification Code (EVC) will be generated by linking Bank Account. For generating this Electronic Verification Code (EVC) a mobile no and E-mail id should be registered with your bank in respect of the bank account.

E-Verification of Income Tax Return will not be a headache any more. With this method we are going to very easily E-verify income tax return. The Bank Account linked mobile number and Email id registered with the respective is really important because this will be used to receive the Electronic Verification Code (EVC). For this process we required to have :

1. 👉 Income Tax login Id & password

2. 👉 Bank account details : Bank account no., IFSC (Indian Financial System Code)

3. 👉 Bank Registered (with the Bank account) : Mobile number & Email id

This mobile number and Email id is really important because this will be used to receive the Electronic Verification Code (EVC). Now the step by step process is discussed below.

Step 1 : Search www.incometax.gov.in

Go to your internet browser and search www.incometax.gov.in

 Step 2 : Click over Login

Look on the homepage, at the upper left corner of the screen. Click over “Login here”.

Step 3 : Login your User ID

Now you will see the Login Screen. It will ask your “User Id” and Password. Remember guy, “User Id” will be your PAN (Permanent Account no) itself. Fill in your User Id and Password over the space provided. Fill in the Captcha Code as appearing and then click over “login”.

Step 4 : Generate EVC

Your Dashboard will appear as you will login. From the Menu Bar, Click over “My Account” (Second option from the Right) and go to the drop down menu. From the dropdown menu select “Generate EVC”.

It will show three option to Generate EVC

1. Option 1 : Generate EVC through NetBanking

2. Option 2 : Generate EVC through Bank Account Number

3. Option 3 : Generate EVC through Demat Account Number

From the above three option, select Option 2 : Generate EVC through Bank Account Number.

Step 5 : Prevalidate your bank account

Over the "Prevalidate your bank account" dialogue box, click over “Prevalidate your bank account” button.

Now you will be asked for evaluating your bank account details. Fill in your bank account details like a bank account number, account type, IFSC (Indian Financial System code). After filling the IFSC (Indian Financial System code), bank name and branch name +will be auto populated. Fill-in the registered mobile number & email id provided in your bank account to the respective Bank. This is very important as the registered mobile number & email id should match with the one provided by you otherwise this procedure will not proceed. Now click over “Prevalidate”.

Step 6 : Prevalidation Done : Transaction Id will be Generated.

After Prevalidation you will receive a Transaction ID under message saying “Your request for Bank account-PAN linking is submitted successfully and Transaction ID is : ……………Status of your request will be sent to your registered e-mail id.

Step 7 : Enable EVC

Once again go to the Menu Bar, Click over “My Account” (Second option from the Right) and from the drop down menu, select “Generate EVC”.

It will show three option to Generate EVC

1. Option 1 : Generate EVC through NetBanking

2. Option 2 : Generate EVC through Bank Account Number

3. Option 3 : Generate EVC through Demat Account Number

From the above three option, select Option 2 : Generate EVC through Bank Account Number.

Prevalidated Bank Details will appear. It will be your Bank details as filled in Step 5, such as bank account number, account type, IFSC code, mobile number, email id and status will be shown as validated. select the check box and click over “Enable EVC”.

 Step 8 : Generate EVC

Over the next screen you will see the message, “selected bank account is enabled to generate EVC”

Now again follow the same procedure, go to “My Account” (Second option from the Right) and from the drop down menu, select “Generate EVC”.

Prevalidate Bank Detail Dialogue box will appear which will ask for generating EVC over the verified mobile number and email id. Select “Yes”. Next Screen will show text, “EVC Generated successfully”. EVC will be send to the Verified Mobile no. and Email ID.

EVC generated can used for next 72 hours to verify income tax return.

How to Get Form 16 Yourself in 3 Mins

Today, I’am going to write a very useful blog for you all. I've often encountered situation, where people come to me saying that their employer has not provided them Form 16 or the Employer is not able to provide Form 16 on time etc. This issue is putting them in trouble to file their income tax return or to meet their other obligations. In order to solve this problem I have come out with this blog that how you can get Provisional Form 16 by yourself without going to your employer. But one most important point to this is that firstly, the employer must have paid your tax deducted to the government and secondly must have filed the return for the same. Conclusively if the employer has fulfilled his obligations then the provisional Form 16 will show the exact same details as the original Form 16. With this method you can download your form 16 on provisional basis which will be concise. I have personally done this for many of my clients and it does work. 

What is Form 16 ? 

Form 16 is the TDS Certificate for Salaried Person with complete salary and other details bifurcation. It is provide by Employer. 

Without wasting any more time let’s start learning and download your Provisional Form 16 in just 2-3 minutes.

Prerequisite :

·        Income Tax Login & Password

·        TAN of Deductor

Step 1 : Search for www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in over your internet browser.

Step 2 : Click on the website link and go to its home page.

Step 3 : Login to your Income Tax Id :-

1.   You will first find an information Screen. Close the Screen. And Click over the “Login here” Button showing at the upper left side of the screen.

2.  Login window will appear.

3.   Fill in your User Id and Password. Your PAN number will be your User Id.

4.   Fill in the captcha code and click on “login”

Step 4 : View “26 AS” :-

1.   Go to the menu bar of your Income Tax Id Home Page.

2.   Click on “My Account”

3.   Select “View Form 26 AS”.

4.   In the Confirmation Window, Click on “Confirm” button.

Step 5 : Navigate to “Traces” website :-

1. Now you will be navigated to an external website “Traces” i.e. www.tdscpc.gov.in

2.   From the dialogue box appearing on the homepage of “Traces” website. Tick the checkbox and click proceed.

Step 6 : View Provisional Form 16 :-

1.   From the menu bar Click “view / verify tax credit”.

2. From the drop-down menu select “Provisional TDS Certificate form 16/16A/27D”

3.  In the new screen appearing, Fill in the TAN of the deductor and select the financial year and assessment year will be automatically filled.

4.   From the Provisional certificate type option, select “Form 16”

5.   Click on “View”

6.   Provisional Form 16 will be displayed on the Screen.

Step 7 : Save Provisional Form 16 :-

1.   Right Click on the Provisional Form 16 appearing over the screen.

2.   Click “Save As” from the drop down option.

3.   Save As Dialogue Box Appears.

4.   Enter the name of the file (if want to change the default name).

5.   Default format is HTML.

6.   Click on “Save”.

Step 8 : Open Provisional Form 16

The Provisional Form 16 is saved in HTML format so you can open  it in any internet browser without the internet connection.  So open it in any Internet Browser.

 

This is the simplest way to get your Form 16 in just three minutes without troubling yourself too much.

नमक के मजदुर और उनकी मजबूरी - कच्छ का रण

चेतना बेन : इस बार हम कच्छ के रण क्षेत्र, गुजरात जा रहे है और तुम भी चल रहे हो, अपना सामान गर्मी और मानसून के हिसाब से रख लो। 
राजू भाई : हम लोग वहाँ  के क्षेत्र में पाए जाने वाले पशु और  पक्षीयो पर अध्यन करेंगे। वह के नमक के मजदूरों के विकास कार्यो की रणनीति पर भी विचार विमर्श और उसकी रूप रेखा निर्धारित करेंगे।

केतन : मैं वहाँ क्या करूँगा माँ। 

राजू भाई : तुम्हारे लिए एक अच्छा एक्सपीरियंस (अनुभव) होगा। 

चेतना बेन : तुम्हे पता है वहाँ दुनिया का एकलौता  वाइल्ड अस्स सैंक्चुअरी (जंगली गधा अभ्यारण्य) है,  "इंडियन वाइल्ड अस्स वाइल्डलाइफ सैंक्चुअरी"। 

केतन : हाँ पापा गधो को देखन अच्छा  एक्सपीरियंस (अनुभव) होगा। हहहह [ठहाके लगते हुए]

राजू भाई : ओह्हो केतन, तुमको वह कितना देखने-समझने को मिलेगा। वहाँ का कल्चर (सभ्यता) , लोग, रेहन-सेहेन, वाइल्डलाइफ (वनप्रजाति), एट्सेटरा (आदि)। 

चेतना बेन : केतन थिस इस इम्पोर्टेन्ट फॉर योर स्टडीज, एंड इतस फाइनल (ये तुम्हारी पढ़ाई के लिए जरुरी है और ये सुनिश्चित हो गया है)

चेतना बेन : क्या वो बेचारी अभी भी है, मुझे लगा तुझ जैसे पागल से परेशान हो कर देश छोड़ कर भाग  गई। इसलिए तेरी दुल्हन एक प्यारी सी हिंदुस्तानी  संस्कारी और धीरज वाली लड़की ला रहे थे, क्योकि वो ही तुम जैसे पागल के साथ उम्रभर निभा सकती है। [व्यग के स्वर में ]

केतन : हाँ मम्मी जैसे आप पापा के साथ हो।  [व्यग के स्वर में ]

 राजू भाई : एएए .... केतन अपने बिच में मुझे क्यों घसीट रहे हो। बस बस और नहीं। 

जैसा की आप लोगो ने देख ही लिया होगा मेरे माँ-पापा कैसे मुझे कच्छ, गुजरात ले जाने पर उतारू है। ये तो साफ़-साफ़ जबरदस्ती है। पर क्या करू माँ-बाप है, मानना तो होगा। खेर मेरा नाम केतन मेहता है। मैं और मेरा परिवार लॉस एंजेल्स, कलिफोनिअ में रहता है। मैं "यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ़ साउथर्न कलिफोनिअ" से जर्नलिज्म (पत्रकारिता) पढ़ रहा हूँ। मेरी माँ "चेतना बेन मेहता" और पापा "राजू भाई मेहता" पेशे से ज़ूलॉजिस्ट है और साथ ही साथ सोशल एक्टिविस्ट (सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता) है। वह यहाँ और इंडिया (भारत) के कई जगहों में अपना सोशल वेलफेयर (समाज कल्याण) का काम करते है। वह बचपन से मुझे अपने इंडियन टूर्स (भारतीय यात्राओं) में साथ ले जाते रहे है ताकि मैं अपने देश को जानू, उसकी सभ्यता को समझू। आज भी इंडिया (भारत) में इनका दिल बस्ता है और ये हर हिंदुस्तानी की हिर्दय संवेदना है। खेर एक बात तो है गुजरात की गर्मी सहना आसान नहीं होगा। मैं पहले भी गुजरात जा चूका हूँ और बीमार हो कर लौटा हूँ। क्यों की मैं बचपन से लॉस एंजेल्स में रहा हूँ। खेर मम्मी-पापा मुझे फिर भी वह ले जाएंगे ताकि मैं अपनी मिटी से जुड़ा राहू।

चेतना बेन : केतन तुम्हारी कच्छ के रण क्षेत्र की रिसर्च (अन्वेषण) कैसी चल रही। मुझे उम्मीद है तुम अपना डाक्यूमेंट्री प्रोजेक्ट वही पर बनाओगे। 
केतन : सच में माँ मुझे पता नहीं था वहाँ पर इतना सब देखने को है। आईएम रियली एक्ससिटेड नाउ (मैं अब वास्तव में उत्साहित हूँ )। मैं वहाँ  की बायोलॉजिकल डाइवर्सिटी (जैविक-विविधता) देखना चाहता हूँ। मैं जानना चाहता हूँ की वहाँ  के अगरिया समुदाय के नमक के मजदूरों या किसान  कैसे रहते है इतनी परेशानियों के बिच और इतने कम पैसे में। 
चेतना बेन : तुम्हे जानना चाहिए, जरूर जानना चाहिए [मायूसीभरे स्वर में वह ये बोलते हुए चली जाती है ]। 
  
२० (२०) नवम्बर, आखिर वो दिन आ गया। हम ध्रांगधरा जो लगभग ४५ (45) किमी की दुरी पर "इंडियन वाइल्ड अस्स वाइल्डलाइफ सैंक्चुअरी" पहुँच गए है। यहाँ का तापमान लगभग ३०-३५ (30-35) डिग्री है जो की अम्म तौर के तापमान से कम है। हमने पास में ही एक होटल लिया, वह से गाड़ी से कच्छ के रण के लिए निकले। एक बड़े ही प्यारे से मड-हाउस (मिट्टी का घर) में हमने अपने आने वाले एक महीने का बसेरा बसाया जो सैंक्चुअरी से कुछ किमी दुरी पर है। सैंक्चुअरी का क्षेत्रफल ४९५४ (4954) वर्ग किमी है और यहाँ आते ही पापा और मम्मी अपने कामो में लग गए। माँ-पापा ने अपना प्लान (योजना) तो घर पर ही बना लिया था और आते ही उसमे लग गए। हम सैंक्चुअरी के क्षेत्र में घूमते हुए जानवरो और पक्षियों को देखते और साथ में माँ-पापा अपना अध्यन से जुड़े काम करते रहते है। पर न जाने वह इस बार कुछ अलग ही खोज रहे है समझ ही नहीं आ रहा, जैसे किसी अपने की तलाश में है। मैं कोई मनोविज्ञानी नहीं, पर उनकी बेचैनी साफ़ देख और समझ सकता हूँ, शायद वह मुझे बताना नहीं चाहते।

रण  का इकोसिस्टम (पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र) बड़ा उन्नत है। माँ-पापा हर २-३ दिन में यहाँ के अगरिया समुदाय के नमक के मजदूरों से मिलते है जिनके विकास के लिए वह कई सालो से काम कर रहे है। उनके स्वयं सहायता समूह के कामो का जाएजा लेना, उनको जागरूक करना, महिलाओ को काम सिखावना, स्वस्थ सम्बन्धी सेवाएं दिलवाना और उनको कैसे सहयता राशि मुहैया कराए, आदि विषियो पर बात-चित जैसे काम में माँ-पापा लगे रहते। इन नमक के मजदूरों और किसानो की हालत बड़ी दयनीय है। माँ-पापा के सामाजिक कार्य देख मुझे बहुत सौभाग्यशाली और गर्वान्गिता महसूस होता है की मैं उनका बेटा हूँ। इसी बिच हम अस्स-पास के इलाक़े में भी घूमने जाते रहते है। ये अगरिया समुदाय के नमक के मजदूर और किसान हमें अपने घर भी बुलाते रहते है और हम जाते भी है। कई लोग माँ-पापा को बड़े अच्छे से जानते है। पर अक्सर माँ-पापा मुझसे  चुप उनसे बात करते और एक नाम की खोज में लगे रहते है, "शारदा बेन खखाड़िया"।

इस रण की संस्कृति भी बड़े लुभावानि और विविद है। हम जब रण उत्सव में गए तो मैं तो हैरान ही रह गया। मैं तो समझ ही नहीं पा रहा हूँ की इस डाक्यूमेंट्री मे क्या-क्या डालू, यहाँ का लोक गीत-संगीत और नित्य जैसे गजियो या रंगीन विषभूषा या लोक कला। और खाने की तो बात मत पूछो, कढ़ी-रोटला, चक्रदा पकवान और पता नहीं क्या-क्या। मुझे हर एक जाते पल के साथ इस मीठी से प्रेम होता जा रहा है। लेकिन न जाने इस वयस्तत में भी माँ-पापा किसे खोजने में लगे है। 

सैंक्चुअरी और रण के क्षेत्र में हमने कितने पशु, पक्षी और वनस्पति देखे, मुझे तो सब के नाम भी याद नहीं हुए। वहाँ इतने सरे है जैसे जंगली-गधो, नील-गाय, लकड़बग्धा आदि। "इंडियन वाइल्ड अस्स वाइल्डलाइफ सैंक्चुअरी" के एशियाई जंगली गधे, जिन्हे यहाँ के लोग "खुर" बोलते है की चल किसी मदमस्त हाथी से कम नहीं। ये गधे एक विलुप्त हो रही प्रजाति के है इसलिए इन्हे इतना संरक्षण हासिल है। आपको बताओ तो यहाँ २०० (२00) तरह के पक्षी देखे जा सकते है और उसमे से कई प्रवासी पक्षी है जैसे यूरोपीय रोलर (नीलकंठ), लैसर फ्लोरिकन (खरमोर) आदि। जितने सूंदर और विशाल फ्लेमिंगो (मराल) मैंने यहाँ देखे शायद ही कही देखे होंगे। इस बंजर वीराने में एक अलग ही सुंदरता है और यही मिलते है नमक के खेत।

ये वही  नमक के खेत है जहाँ पर अगरिया समुदाय के नमक के मजदूरों या किसान ५० (50) डिग्री की कड़ी धुप में ८ (8) महीने कड़ी मेहनत करते है नमक बनने के लिए। इस नमक की खेती में इनका पूरा शरीर और उम्र गाल जाती है, एक औसतन नमक के मजदूरों या किसान की उम्र केवल ५०-५५ (50-55) वर्ष ही होती है। इनके पुरे शरीर पर नमक का घातक आसार होता है, ये वक़्त के साथ उम्र से पहले अंधे होने लगते है , इनके पुरे शरीर की त्वचा रूखी और बेजान हो जाती है। इनको कई बीमारिया भी हो जाती है, खास तौर पर त्वचा सम्बन्धी। यहाँ तक की इनके हाथ और पैर नमक के खेतो में काम करते-करते सार्ड जाते है।  इस पेशे से जुड़ी हुई सबसे भयावल सच्चाई इनके अंतिम संस्कार के वक़्त दिखती है। इनके पैर देह-संस्कार के वक़्त नहीं जलते क्यों की वह सर्ड कर सख्त हो जाते है, एक पत्थर के सामान। नमक के मजदूरों के लिए यहाँ एक कहावत है की, "इनके शरीर में खून नहीं नमक बेहता है"। और इतनी मेहनत का इन्हे क्या मिलता है, जरा सोचिये। कोई हज़ारो-लाखो रुपये नहीं, बल्कि ६०-७० (60-70) रुपये पर १००० (1000) किलो। बिचौलिये, व्यापारी और बड़ी कम्पनिया सारा मुनाफा कमाती है। अक्सर ये  नमक के मजदूर और किसान घाटे में ही अपना नमक बेचते है क्योकि ज्यादातर पैसा तो इनके जनरेटर के तेल में ही चला जाता है। ये तपती धुप में अपने हाथो से कितने कुँए खोदते है तब जा कर कही किसी एक कुँए में इन्हे नमक का पानी मिलता है। उस पानी को ८ (8) महीने तक खरोंचते है तब जा कर नमक बनता है। यहाँ इनके बच्चो के लिए रण में कुछ २-३ (2-3) प्राथमिक विद्यालय है, जो एक मीठी की झुग्गी में लगते है। लेकिन उनका भविष्य पता नहीं कहा है। अगर कुछ किया न गया तो ये बच्चे भी अपने माँ-बाप की तरह नमक के मजदूर ही बनेंगे, क्योकि इन लोगो को और कोई काम आता भी तो नहीं है। 

[शाम का वक़्त है और सब साथ में बैठे है]
 

चेतना बेन : "शारदा बेन" मिली क्या ? [धीमी आवाज में बोली]
राजू भाई : नहीं, पर हम खोज रहे है। 
केतन : ये  "शारदा बेन खखाड़िया" मेरी दुल्हन है क्या ? हहहह [ठहाके लगते हुए]
चेतना बेन : तुम्हे जल्दी पता चल जाएगा। [गंभीर स्वर में] 
केतन : माँ इन नमक के मजदूरों या किसानो के बच्चे कैसे रहते है ?
चेतना बेन : बेटा.......  बीमार, कुपोषित और शिक्षा-विहीन। 
केतन : आप इन बच्चो के लिए कुछ नहीं करते ?
राजू भाई : हम इन बच्चो को स्वास्थ सुविधा , शिक्षा प्रायोजन और अडॉप्शन (दत्तक ग्रहण/गोद लेना) की सुविधा दिलवाते है। ताकि इन्हे एक अच्छा भविष्य मिल सके। 
चेतना बेन : आगे तुम्हे ही ये सब सम्हालना है चेतन। 
राजू भाई : ये तुम्हारी तो जमीन है [वाणी को विश्राम देते हुए ]
चेतना बेन : इनके माँ-बाप अपने बच्चो को हर हाल में इस हर-पल मरती जिंदगी से निकलना चाहते है। वह इसके लिए अपने जिगर के टुकड़े को किसी और को भी देने को तैयार हो जाते है। [ये बोलते -बोलते वो रोने लगी]

माँ को इतना भावुक मैंने बहुत कम देखा है। पापा ने उन्हें जैसे-तैसे शांत किया। शायद उन्हें मेरा ख्याल आ गया, मैं भी उनकी गोद ली हुई सन्तान हूँ। रात के वक़्त हम सब खाना खा कर बैठे थे इतने में कोई पापा से मिलने आया। पापा के माँ से बोला ........ 

राजू भाई : "शारदा बेन खखाड़िया" मिल गई। उनकी तब्बीयत बहुत ख़राब है, शायद अब वह कुछ दिन की मेहमान है। [गंभीर स्वर में]
चेतना बेन :  हम कल ही उनके पास जाऐंगे। अब ये बोझ मुझसे और नहीं झेला जाता।  [धीमी आवाज में बोली]
केतन : कौन है ये "शारदा बेन खखाड़िया", कौन लगती है वह हमारी और क्यों ये इतनी खास है।


[विराने में एक सन्नाटा छः गया ]

केतन : बोलो न माँ। 
चेतना बेन : वह तुम्हारी माँ है। बेटा हमने तुम्हे उनसे गोद लिया था पर वह नहीं  चाहती थी की तुम्हारे मन में कोई हीन भवाना आये या तुम हमे कभी भी पराया समझो इसलिए उन्होंने हमसे वचन लिया था की तुम्हे ये बताया जाए, की तुम्हारे माँ-पापा एक्सीडेंट में मर गए।  [रोते हुए बोली ]
राजू भाई : वह चाहती थी की तुम्हे इस बात का कभी पता न चले, पर हम तुम्हे एक बार उनसे मिलवाना चाहते थे। पर बेटा उन्हें  पता न लगने देना की तुम्हे सब पता है , उनकी तपस्या ख़राब मत करना।

ये सब सुनने के बाद मैं निःशब्द खड़ा हूँ , समझ ही नहीं आ रहा क्या बोलू। उस माँ  की मज़बूरी को समझू या इस माँ का प्यार। मैं अपने अनजान कल और आज के बिच खड़ा हूँ। मैंने माँ को गले से लगा लिया और चुप कराया। सारी रात छत की ओर देखता रहा। मन में इतने सवाल, इतनी बेचैनी है। क्या ये नमक एक मजदूर को इतना मजबूर कर देता है। 

सुबह होते ही हम गाड़ी से निकले, पुरे रस्ते किसी ने कोई बात नहीं की। इतनी चुप्पी की हवा की आवाज भी शोर लग रही है। जैसे ही वहाँ पहुंचे तो हमें एक झोपड़ी दिखी, एक आदमी वहाँ हमारा इंतजार कर रहा था। अंदर जा कर देख तो एक औरत खटिया पर लेटी हुई है। माँ उन्हें देखते ही पहचान गयी। उनकी तब्बियत काफी खराब है। आँखो से साफ़ दिखाई नहीं देता उनको, हाथ और पैर सर्ड गए है।

चेतना बेन : कैसी हो शारदा बेन। 

उनने हाथ हिला कर इशारा किया की ठीक हूँ। माँ-पापा उनकी खटिया के सामने खड़े हो गए और मुझे उनके पैर छूने को बोला। उनके पैरो को हाथ लगाया तो समझ आया की कैसे बेजान पत्थर सामान हो गए है नमक से। मैं  उनके पास बैठ गया। 

चेतना बेन : शारदा बेन अपने बेटे "केतन" को तुमसे मिलवाने लाई हूँ, उसे आशीर्वाद नहीं दोगी। तुम्हारे पास बैठा है। 

ये सुनते ही उनके चेहरे पर एक मुस्कान छा गयी और आँखो में आँसू आ गए। उनने मेरा हाथ अपने हाथ में ले लिया। उनके हाथ का रूखापन और कपन मैं महसूस कर सकता हूँ। वह बेचारी मुझे देखना चाह रही है पर इन आधी अंधी आँखों से उन्हें कुछ साफ़ नज़र नहीं आ रहा। मैं थोड़ा उनके तरफ झुका तो उन्होंने अपना हाँथ मेरे सिर पर रख, मुझे आशीर्वाद दिया। शायद जितनी शरीर में जान है उसका पूरा जोर लगा कर बोली, "जीते रहो"। मुझे देख तो पा नहीं रही है इसलिए अपने हाथो से मेरे चेहरे और फिर कंधे से होते हुए मेरे हाथों को टटोलने लगी। मानू मेरी आकृति अपने मान की आँखों से देख रही हो। हम सब चुप-चाप उन्हें देख रहे है। इस क्षण में एक अलग ही आत्मीयता और संतोष है। कुछ देर बाद वह आदमी जो झोपडी के बाहर हमारा इंतज़ार कर रहा था हम लोगो से बोला, "अब आप लोग आराम से जाइये इतनी देर इस गर्मी में रहना आपके लिए ठीक नहीं"। उनने (शारदा बेन) मेरे हाथ को टटोलते हुए मुझे जाने का इशारा किया। मैं उठा और बाहर जाने लगा। फिर अचानक ही मेरे मन में कुछ आया और मैं पलट कर बोला.........

केतन : माँ जी अपना ध्यान रखिएगा।
 
ये सुनते ही वह फिर मुस्कुराई, जैसे परम सुख मिल गया हो और हाँथ मेरे ओर हिलाया। वह मुस्कुराता चेहरा अपने मन में बासा कर मैं वहाँ से निकला। इस सफर ने मुझे एक नया इंसान बना दिया है और इन नमक के मजदुर और उनकी मजबूरी का हाल देखा दिया है।
